I love promoting my artists and the latest projects they have worked on, but most people only get to see the final approved version.
Often, however, the process of getting to the final image is equally as interesting. The sketches that artists create show the range of ideas and directions that the illustration could possibly go. Often only the Art Director working on the project gets to see these, but it is an informative step that lays the groundwork for how the illustration will develop. To see the concept come to life, the composition and proportions change and start to become refined, can teach many about the process.
Bob Case has a print portfolio that includes the sketches that preceded much of his final work. If you would like to see his portfolio and the process it reveals, or the full portfolios for any of our artists, please call or email and I will arrange to show you.
